Simultaneously, water retention is removed, leading to the reduction of swelling. As a result of the negative pressure, the wound dressing maintains a tight contact to the surface of the wound and seals the wound.
The blood supply to the wound increases and supplies the new tissue. The formation of granulation tissue is visible after a few days.
