43% Glass Fiber black polyamide 612 resin for injection molding

 

Polyamide 612 (PA612) is created through poly-condensation of hexamethylene diamine and dodecanedioic acid.

PA612 is also called polyamide 612 or nylon 612, which is polylauryl diacylenediamine. In addition to the general PA characteristics, PA612 has relatively small width, lower water absorption rate and density, the advantages of dimensional stability, high tensile strength and impact strength, and transparency.

Special features of PA612 :

  • low water absorption and good dimensional stability compared to PA6 or PA66
  • good resistance to chemicals and weathering
  • very good resistance to hydrolysis
  • high melting point of 225°C
  • problem-free processing

Due to its high melting point, PA612 is especially well suited for pipes and connectors in automotive applications which are exposed to high temperatures. Preferred applications are feed lines for cooling, heating and climate control systems in cars, compressed air lines of heavy-duty trucks exposed to high temperatures, feed lines for hot diesel fuel and individual layers with high barrier properties in multiple-layer petrol lines.

PA612 Injection Technics 

 

Drying treatment:
If processing before the material is sealed, then there is no need to dry. However, if the storage container is opened, it is recommended that the at 85 ℃ hot air drying process. If the humidity is more than 0.2%, to 105 ℃, 12 hours of vacuum drying.
Mold humidity:
Recommendation 80 ℃. Mold temperature will affect the crystallinity, the crystallinity will influence the physical properties of the products. For thin wall plastic parts, if you use the mold temperature below 40 ℃, the plastic parts of crystallinity will change over time, in order to keep the geometric stability of the plastic parts, annealing treatment is required.
Injection pressure:
Usually at 750 ~ 1250bar, depending on the material and the new product design.
