Polyethylene anti corrosion PE tape ( pipe wrap tapes for pipeline outer layer) :

 PE Outer Layer Tape is two ply polyethylene (PE) mechanical protection anti-corrosion self-adhesive tapes. It is cold applied tape coating systems for corrosion protection of Water, Oil and Gas Pipelines. The anti corrosion tape is highly recommended where a complete protection of primary coating is specified. Gives a smooth, tough protection to the pipeline under all climatic conditions, in any terrain, anywhere in the world. Its application should after the Anti Corrosion Tape—Inner layer tape. 

 

♦ Structure :

Polyethylene anti-corrosion PE pipe wrap tape consists of two layers, adhesive layer and film backing

Adhesive: butyl rubber 

Outer layer: Special blend of stabilized polyethylene

 

♦ Application :

Polyethylene anti corrosion PE tape : Cold applied tape coating system for corrosion protection of Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Waste Water 

underground or overhead pipelines.

The inner-layer tape shall be applied after the primer and before the outer-layer tape by hand or better with a wrapping machine.
