Q1: How often the pure water treatment machine should be washed?

A1: Generally, when the standardized flux decrease 10%~15%, or the system desalinization rate decrease 10%~15%, or the operation pressure or section pressure differences increase 10%~15%, the pure water treatment machine should be washed. Washing times is related to system preprocessing, when SDI15<3, the washing frequency is around 4 times/year; when the SDI15 is around 5, may be the washing frequency is 1 times than SDI15<3, but the washing frequency is also depend on the actual situation.

Q2: What is SDI?

A2: It is used to evaluate the colloid contamination possibility of RO system. 

Q3: Which should be choice between RO treatment and ion exchanger treatment in general situation?

A3: Both RO treatment and ion exchanger treatment can be adopted. Base on economic conditions, generally, if the saltness is highre, the RO treatment is much substantial. If the saltness is lower, the ion exchanger is much substantial. Now, because the RO technology is widespread, more and more people adopt RO treatment+ion exchanger.

Q4: How long dose one RO membrane can be used?

A4: Generally, one membrane can be used for 5 years. On the other hand, the membrane life time is depend on the chemical stability of membrane, physical stability of components, cleanable, raw water source, preprocessing, washing frequency, operation and management and so on.

Q5: How about the membrane separation ability?

A5: RO technology is the most precision liquid filter technology. RO membrane can intercept inorganic molecule and molecule that dimension larger than 100. On the other hand, hydrone can permeate membrane freely.

Q6: What is the Max. silicon dioxide concentration can be allowed in raw water?

A6: The Max. silicon dioxide concentration is depend on temperature, PH and antisludging agent. When the antisludging agent isn't add, the Max. is 100ppm on concentration water side.

Q7: What kind of preform need before water flow into RO?

A7: The particle and suspended solids can be avoided through sand filter, carbon filter, ion exchanger, and precision filter. In order to the particle damage the HP pump blade and membrane components.

Q8: Could the membrane avoid virus and germ?

A8: The membrane has very high removal rate, at least 3log. Of course, the other components, detection and maintenance way are also importance steps, it can't depend on RO membrane completely.

Q9: Could temperature influence water yield?

A9: The temperature is higher, the water yield is more, vice versa; when the temperature become higher, the pressure should be turn down, vice versa.
