  Hot Pressed Boron Nitride (HPBN) Ceramic is one of industrial ceramic materials, its hardness and mechanical strength is not as high as alumina or zirconia ceramics, the soft hardness and good machinability enables this material to produce complicated shapes.  Boron nitride ceramic has excellent inertness to most molten metals and good thermal shock resistance, so it is very suitable to use in metallurgical applications. The good electrical insulation also makes it a good option for electrical applications.
