Heavy gauge vacuum forming

Vacuum forming a simple process which you may already be familiar with, where a hot sheet is stretched over a male mold, and vacuum is applied between the sheet and the mold, pulling the sheet tight to the mold. Once it cools, the sheet takes on the shape of the tool. With our 3-dimensional trimming equipment, we can then trim out the finished part with a high degree of accuracy and repeatability. There are an infinite number of applications of this process

Thin gauge thermoforming

Thin Gauge thermoforming is a process that converts a flat sheet of plastic into a functional form usually used in packaging. Materials typically run between .010″ to .055″ thick. The most common uses are for food, medical, and retail packaging. Bosen Plastics has built thin gauge thermo forming expertise throughout the years and understands how to successfully deliver packaging products designed for industries with stringent requirements on quality like food and medical.

Pre-printed/Distortion forming

Distortion printing is the process of printing a distorted version of an image onto a sheet of plastic and systematically vacuum forming the sheet on a mold so that specific areas of the printed image appear in corresponding areas of the resulting three-dimensional large part. Bosen plastic utilizes the screen printed plastic sheets in conjunction with vacuum thermoforming expertise to create a molded part containing the proper image displayed on the final product

How to work with us for the new product?

Once you have approved your design for your plastic product prototype, using either CAD/CAM or traditional pattern making, a wooden or aluminum mold is created to produce vacuum formed samples.
This ensures you are satisfied with the design aesthetics, fit and function of your part before proceeding to production tooling. This is also an important stage at which  to carry out any testing on the material durability and specification chosen for your product.

Shenzhen Bosen Plastic Factory have been experts in vacuum forming and all of it's various methods for a decade. We are able to manufacture vacuum formings in any extruded plastic up to 10mm thick, in any colour, up to 2450mm x 1500mm x 600mm in depth.

The advantage of plastic vacuum forming is its flexibility, as are cost effectiveness and speed of production. Prototypes can be produced quickly and accurately to prove parts before full production tooling is required. Tooling costs are also substantially less expensive in comparison to most other plastic process manufacturing, namely injection moulding, especially on large parts or short production runs.
