Principles

Giardia Test Kit is designed to detect the antigens of Giardia lamblia in feces. Two antibodies in the kit specifically bind with different epitopes of the antigens. After being absorbed into the cellulose pad, the antigens of Giardia lamblia move and bind with gold-colloid complex of anti- Giardia of the conjugate pad, forming Ab-Ag complex. This complex, then, forms Ab-Ag-Ab direct sandwich binding with the antibody of another monoclonal anti- Giardia in the nitrocellulose membrane.  The test results can appear on Control and Test lines where the principles of immunochromatography are applied.

Procedure

1) Specimen Canine or Feline feces   

2) Storage of specimen

  a) Store specimen at 2 ~ 8℃ for use within 24 hours or at -25℃ for later use.

  b) Keep the specimen at 22 ~ 25℃ before use.

3) Test procedure

  a) Collect feces with a swab and put the swab into a sample tube containing 1 of buffer. Do not use sticky or a lump of feces.

  b) Swirl the buffer with the swab.

  c) Drop 4 drops (100 ) into the specimen well (S).     

  d) Read the test results within 5~10 minutes.
