Product Description

Alkylphenol polyoxyethylene ether -10. R is C8 or C9 alkyl, and foreign corresponding commodity names are Igepal ca-630, Triton x-100 or Igepal co-630 [1]. It is also known as tx-10 in China. It is a nonionic surfactant.

Octyl polyoxyethylene ether -10(Igepal ca-630, Triton x-100) : colorless to pale yellow transparent viscous liquid. D2541.0595. N25D1. 4894. The HLB value of 13.5. 1% aqueous solution turbidity point of 63 ~ 67 ℃ (nonionic surfactant cloud point, is refers to the non-ionic surfactants in water or saline solution heated to cloudy, the temperature of the cooling gets to clarify, is one of the characteristic parameters of ion surfactant). Soluble in water, ethanol and acetone, soluble in benzene, toluene, xylene, etc., insoluble in petroleum ether. Acid, alkali, oxidant and reductant. Can be mixed with various surfactants.

Nonylphenol polyoxyethylene ether -10(IgepalCO-630) : colorless to pale yellow transparent viscous liquid. D2541.060. Freezing point - 3 ℃. The HLB value of 13.0. 1% aqueous solution turbidity point 52 ℃ ~ 56. Soluble in water, ethanol, ethylene glycol, soluble in benzene, toluene, xylene, insoluble in petroleum ether.

Preparation method:

   octyl phenol or nonylphenol can be catalyzed by sodium hydroxide (or potassium), and the emulsifier op-10 is prepared by reaction with ethylene oxide.

Usage

  It's used in printing and dyeing as a blend, dispersing, soggy. Used as an emulsifier in pesticide, pharmaceutical and rubber industries. It can also be used as a household or industrial detergent.
