Brass Pulsation Dampeners with Porous Type (Pressure gauge Porous snubbers) protects pressure gauges and instruments from system pressure surges and shock. Pressure damping (snubbing) is accomplished through the use of a porous SS/Brass element. When snubber is installed up stream from a pressure sensor instruments, the response rate of the instrument is reduced and generally varies with the initial pressure drop across the porous metal element, and allows the instrument to smoothly come to line pressure.
Pressure gauge Porous snubbers will considerably increase the service life of pressure gauges in harsh applications such as on
reciprocating pumps and compressors, hydraulic presses or fluid power systems and will additionally improve the reading accuracy
of the gauge.
