As a member of BT-SIG, Texas Instruments (TI) introduced CC2640 series of SOC low-power BLE transceivers. With ARM ® Cortex ® -M3 inside, its most prominent features are rich periphery(including 31 IOs, UART, SPI, PWM, ADC, analog comparator, op-amp), super wide working voltage (1.8v – 3.8v), extremely low energy consumption (<0.1μA).
Modules, working as a bridge between smartphones and peripherals, make it simple to develop host applications. In the bridge mode (with USART, users’ products, embedded with the modules, can communicate with mobile devices (BLE 4.0 supported) with ease. It realizes the super smart control and management.
RF-BM-4044B4 module is designed based on CC2640R2FRSM Smart BLE4.2 or BT 5.0 System-on-Chip, and fully supports the single-mode BLE operation. The module contains a 32-bit ARM CortexTM-M3 processor, with a working frequency at 48.0 MHz, the same as the main processor. The module has rich peripherals function libraries, and a unique ultra-low power sensor controller, which is fit for connecting the external sensors in the sleep mode and acquiring analog and digital data independently.
