| Application | Magnesium is the main component of chlorophyll and can regulate the life process of the tree. In phosphate metabolism, nitrogen metabolism and carbon metabolism, it can activate many kinds of enzymes and act as an activator. Magnesium is indispensable in maintaining the structure of ribose and nuclear protein and determining the physical and chemical properties of protoplasm. It also has an indirect effect on respiration. Generally, in acidic sandy soil, soil with high leaching and low cation substitution, calcareous soil with low parent material magnesium content, or acid soil with too much lime or potassium fertilizer, the soil is often prone to magnesium deficiency. Magnesium deficiency in young trees is likely to cause early leaf fall, which usually occurs in midsummer. Sometimes the leaves basically fall off overnight. The mature tree lacks magnesium, mostly starting from the leaves at the base of the new shoots, ranging from chlorosis between veins to severe failure of the fruit to mature normally, with small fruit size, poor coloration and no fragrance. Too much magnesium will cause an imbalance between the elements in the tree, such as insufficient calcium absorption, potassium deficiency, and zinc deficiency.Crop magnesium deficiency has obvious characteristics on the leaves, first appearing in the middle and lower leaves, and then gradually developing upward. Since magnesium is a component of chlorophyll, when magnesium is deficient, the leaves are usually chlorosis. The veins at the tip and edge of the leaf fade in color, change from light green to yellow, and then expand to the base and center of the leaf. However, the leaf veins remain green, forming clear net-like veins on the leaves. In severe cases, the leaves wither and fall off. When citrus is lacking in magnesium, the symptoms of diseased leaves are rib-like yellow areas on both sides of the midrib, and inverted "triangular" green areas at the tip and base of the leaves for a long time. These symptoms mostly occur on the old leaves of the fruiting mother branches.
