Calcium Acetylide

Appearance: Grey, yellowish-brown ,black or brown solid block

 

Application:

1) Heating calcium carbide powder and nitrogen to form cyanamide calcium 

(lime nitrogen.Calcium Cyanamide)

2) Calcium carbide can be used as a desulfurizer for iron and steel industry.

3) The main raw material for producing acetylene gas.

4) Cutting and welding for metal material.

5) To synthesize polyvinyl chloride(PVC)

6) Others: Carbide Lamps, chemicals for fertilizer, Steelmaking, Ripening of fruit

 

 

Cautions during transportation:

The packing must be kept in good condition and the goods should be stored in a dry, cool, and ventilated place. It should be separate from the cargo can burn and acid. It should avoid meet water and moisture. It should give off the Acetylene in iron drum before storing in warehouse. Rolling drums, heavy putting down and colliding are not allowed to avoid the spark lead to explosion.
