The expansion characteristics of Kovar match both borosilicate (or Pyrex) glasses and alumina ceramics, making it one of the most popular of the controlled expansion alloys for hermetic sealing applications. 

 

Kovar alloy is a iron-nickel-cobalt, low expansion alloy whose chemical composition is controlled within narrow limits to assure precise uniform thermal expansion properties. Kovar alloy has been used for making hermetic seals with the harder Pyrex glasses and ceramic materials.

1.Delivery conditions and finishes:

 

Wire & coils: bright soft in oxidation condition; annealed soft wire ; half-soft bright wire

 

Strip:bright surface; special requirements made as the clients

 

Bar:hot-rolling, cold drawing, bright surface;  solid solution treatment; tempering etc;

 

Sheet: hot-rolling, polishing, picking, bright etc

 

Forging: black surface, bright surface, picking etc

 

Machined Parts: made as per the clients requirements

 

Welding wire & welding strip

 

The quality certificate will be shipped along with goods.

 

2.MOQ:

 

50-100 kgs per each size

 

3.Packing

 

Standard export packing, carton with plywood case for safety

 

Wire: below dia 1.0mm, packed in spool; Above 1.0mm, packed in coil

 

Strip, Bar & Tube, Sheet: Packed in Nylon Polybag first

 

Welding wire: TIG, 5KGS / box, MIG, 15kgs /spool

 

The goods can be packed as the clients demand.

 

4.Delivery time:

 

We can do the order 45-50days upon receive the 30% deposit or L/C document.

 

5. Payment:

 

T/T, 30% deposit and the balance paid against the B/L copy.
