Turbine air starter include two parts:power part and output part,power part adopts twin turbine or single turbine,when starting engine,press air cock(or solenoid valve switch),let compressed air through output part pre-engaged air inlet into it, driving output shaft out and automatic adjustment,let output gear and flywheel ring gear into correct engaged position.When output gear at specified position,compressed air through pre-engaged outlet connect with relay valve,open main air path,compressed air get into air starter,drive motor turbine rotate,start engine.When engine is started,this air starter is realized by overrun clutch,avoid big ring drive motor,loosen starting switch,cut off air source,output gear automatic back,complete a starting process.
