Active zinc oxide is a white or slightly yellow spherical fine powder, bulk density 0.35-0.45, melting point 1800 °C, insoluble in water, soluble in acid, alkali, chloride and ammonia. The humid air with carbon dioxide to generate basic zinc carbonate, its biggest feature is the size of 150-300 nm. Than the indirect method and the direct method zinc oxide zinc oxide have greater surface area, in applications with higher activity and good dispersibility. The refractive index of the active zinc oxide are very similar to natural rubber, vulcanized products thus make the color more clear and transparent.
