Shear connector(it is also named shear stud) are typically used in composite steel construction to tie the concrete to steel members and resist shear forces between the concrete slab and steel members. Plenty of steel construction(such as steel building, steel beam, steel bridges, etc.) uses shear connector widely. Butler shear connectors meet the following standards:

Quality Control
Mechanical Test
Shear studs are also mechanically tested. Bending tests are performed for each order after welding. Shear studs are also tested for elongation and tensile strength using our own testing equipment
Welding Test
Shear stud are regularly weld tested .
The test implies that the stud is bent to an angle of at least 60° or until breakage occurs.
Quality raw material
We choose the quality mild carbon steel from BIG Steel Factory.

Being able to determine the chemical composition of the raw materials for shear studs is a must for a good quality end product.
Tensile and yield strength tests are carried out regularly for each order and test certificates are supplied on request.
Packing & Delivery
Cartons Packages
The packaging of shear studs can be in carton boxes which are easy to carry or in metal drums.
Butler provides an appropriate package for shear stud connector, cartons (lined with plastic bags) & plywood pallets is our standard package;
Drum (lined with plastic bags) & plywood pallets based on customer's specific requirements.
Carton Packing
1. 25 kgs per carton, 48 cartons/1200KG per pallet.
2. Generally speaking, 1 x 20' GP container can load about 16-20 pallets.
Drum Packing
1. 200 kgs per drum,6 drums/1200KG per pallet. 2. Generally speaking, 1 x 20' GP container can load about 16-20 pallets.
