Malt is one of the core ingredients in the brewing of beer. Cereal grains such as barley, oats, wheat, rice, corn, etc. are the ingredients for brewer’s malt.  

Barley malt is made by the process called 'malting'. It consists of three phases. First phases is the barley washed and soaked in water to start the steeping process. Second phase is the actual sprouting or 'germination' of the barley grains.  Third phase is the drying of the sprouted grains (green malt). The phases including loading the grain for steeping, germination boxes, and kilning. The production operators will regulates the temperature of the heated air that dries and roasts the grain, and adjusts the duration of the different operations throughout the malting process. The production operator will also monitors the progress of the transformation of the grain into malt.

Yingtai Malting System Description

Laizhou YINGTAI Barley Malt Making Machine has its own controller, providing complete control of the malting process, steeping, germination, kilning,  which ensures you can produce exactly the kind of malt you need.  

According to different configuration and capacity, we supply different malting system:

1. Drum malting system: 500Kg-10,000Kg/batch
2. Saladin malting system: 15,000Kg-220,000Kg/batch
3. Tower malting system: >150,000kg/batch

Barley process capacity: 500kg/batch, 1000kg/batch, 2000kg/batch, 5000kg/batch, 10000kg/batch.

Our DM drum malting system has compact structure and requires no extra civil engineering. The germination and kilning will take place in the same drum. For its modular and scalable, you can start out with one Germination and Kiln COMBO Drum and add up to three G-K COMBO drums in your system, all supported by the same ventilating system and one variable steep tank. 

The complete malt production line is controlled by PLC. The fully automatic control system can insure good drainage, excellent aeration  and uniform grain bed temperatures.The ratio of fresh to recirculated air can be adjusted. The water and heat in production are recyclable. The kilning temperature can reach 130℃(265℉), which is enough for producing some kind of special malt.  One person can operate the system on computer. Hundreds of recipe can be modified, stored and printed.
