Raw ores are sent to the primary jaw crusher by vibrating feeder, by first stage crushing, the ores are reduced to less than 100 mm. Then the materials are sent to secondary jaw crusher by belt conveyor, and are further crushed to less than 20 mm. The above stage is called crushing.

When smaller stones from secondary jaw crusher are sent to the silo(or hopper), it is gathered for grinding. There is jig feeder under the silo, which can feed the ball mill evenly and continuously, so the small stones will be ground by the ball mill, after grinding the size is reduced to less than 0.4mm or even smaller. All the sizes of minerals are classified by the spiral classifier, larger materials will be sent back to the ball mill, while smaller size will go to next stage. This is called grinding and classification.

After grinding and classification, the Cr2O3 are fully free from tailings, it is in slurry state, and the materials will be sent to the top of spiral chute by slurry pump. Spiral chute is processed by gravity method with the medium of water. Heavier materials comes to the central of spiral and lighter materials go outside of the spiral. By spiral chute can get concentrate, middlings and tailings. The middlings can be processed again. While concentrate will be processed by shaking table, so can get fine concentrate. This stage is called separation.

When wet Ball Mill works, certain water and other liquid will be added into materials to increase flowability of materials, so the capacity is increased. When dry Ball Mill works, capacity is affected because material flowability is reduced, so absorbing wind device is needed on the outlet of Ball Mill, and then negative pressure is formed in the Ball Mill to increase flowability of material, so the capacity is increased.

Spiral classifier (Screw classifier):Wet Spiral Separators Spiral separators of the wet type, also called spiral concentrators, are devices to separate solid components in a slurry, based upon a combination of the solid particle density as well as the particle's hydrodynamic properties (e.g. drag). The device consists of a tower, around which is wound a sluice, from which slots or channels are placed in the base of the sluice to extract solid particles that have come out of suspension.
