Boasting high performance SATA+SAS ports, the LSI 9201-16i host bus adapter offers a great solution to today's growing storage requirements. It offers dynamic SAS functionality including dual-port drive redundancy and SATA compatibility to protect your investment. Regardless of the drive speed, this 6 Gb/s adapter can deliver up to twice the performance level in both read and write applications as compared to their 3 Gb/s predecessors, providing the greatest available throughput to internal server storage arrays.
6Gb/s SATA+SAS Advantage
The LSI SAS 9201-16i host bus adapter (HBA) enables large-scale storage arrays through high-speed 6Gb/s ports, supporting up to 512 SATA and SAS physical devices. It bolsters high capacity server storage RAID and non-RAID enclosures by pairing a x8 PCI Express 2.0 host interface with four internal x4 SFF8087 Mini-SAS connectors.
6Gb/s SAS technology enhancements, such as End-to-End CRC, power management, and hot plug support, combine to produce an extremely powerful yet dependable solution. Additionally, the T-10 Protection Model delivers early detection of and recovery from data corruption while Spread Spectrum Clocking reduces EMI emissions. Other new features include greater signal integrity and longer cables using Decision Feedback Equalization and support for more sophisticated SAS topologies using Expander Self-discovery/Self-configuration.
