Potassium Aluminium Fluoride is a white or light gray powder, slight soluble in water. It can react with water to release hydrogen fluoride at high temperature, may be slowly dissolved in acid to release hydrogen fluoride. Its melting point is 560 degrees.
The size can be:1-3mm, 20, 40, 100, 200 and 325mesh. It is composed by KF-AlF3, Molecular rate near 1.2, melting point 557-580. Solubility in 1000g water: at 0: 0.8g; at 25: 1.42g, at 100: 4.58g.

* Use as a flux in the aluminum smelting by fused-salt electrolysis;
* Use as an opalizer in the manufacture of enamel;
* Use as an opacifier and auxiliary solvent of glass and enamel; an insecticide of crops;
* Use as a flux in aluminum alloy casting;
* Used in the production of ferrous alloy and effervescing steel;
* As well as a wear-resistant filler for resin and rubber-boned abrasive wheels.
