The Silt Density Index (SDI) is calculated upon the sample water's actual decay in flow rate, when it flows through the 0.45micron pore size filter membrane under 0.207MPA in a certain time. SDI is one of the effective measurements to quantify the amount of the particle and colloid in the pre-treated water. It is an important index ensuring the efficient operation of the reverse osmosis separation process etc.
