Calcium Stearate

Calcium stearate is in the shape of white powder, insoluble in water, soluble in organic solvents such as hot benzene, benzene and turpentine, slightly soluble in hot ethanol and ether. It decomposes slowly and is flammable when heated to 400 C. It is decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding calcium salt by strong acid and has hygroscopicity. Calcium stearate are widely used as lubricants, slipping agents, heat-stabilizers, mould releasing agents and accelerants in plastic, machinery engineering, rubber, paints and inks industry etc.

Calcium stearate can be widely used for PVC(pvc pipe,pvc profile,pvc cable,etc),PP,PE,Fiber,paint,rubber,color masterbatch.Food additives and so on.



1. Widely used as heat stabilizer for PVC. It can increasing the gelation speed with base of lead salt and lead soap.

2. Used as PP and PE halogen absorber to eliminates negative impact on residual catalyst to resin color and stability, improves resin's yellow index and fluidity.

3. Lubricant in polyolefin fiber and mouldedwork.

4. Mold release, plasticizer, lubricating grease's thickening agent, textile's water proofing agent, paint flatting agent etc. for rubber processing.

5.Used as good dispersing agent in color masterbatch,filler masterbatch.
