Chemical properties

Colorless translucent crystals or white crystalline powder. The relative density of 1.52, melting point 35.1 °C.Soluble in water, insoluble in ethanol. Weakly alkaline aqueous solution, the PH value of 3.5% aqueous solution is 9.0 to 9.4. it is easy weathering into salt containing seven water of crystallization, when heated to 100 °C, it lost all the crystal water and become white powder with no water. While at 250 °C it becomes pyrophosphate.

Used as raw material in thr industries of chemistry, pharmacy, paper-making leather, water treatment, etc.

Food grade:

Used as quality improvement agent, emulsifier, nutrition supplemental agent, buffering agent in food processing industry.
