1.What is Halbach Array?

Halbach array is a kind of specialized and interesting arrangement of permanent magnet.The array was originally designed to help particle accelerators to focus beams.The magnetization direction of two adjacent magnets in the array differs on a certain angle,hence caused asymmetrical distribution of the magnetics field.

The halbach array mainly includes straight -type halbach array and circular -type halbach array according to geometry.Circular-type halbach array can be further divided into O.D. iteration and I.D.iteration on the basis of the arrangement of the permanent magnet.Different directions and strength will be yielded by different magnet configuration.
