Gibbsite Bauxite is mainly composed of alumina, it is a hydrated alumina with impurities, which is a kind of earthy mineral, it is White or off-white. It is brownish yellow or reddish due to include iron . Its density is 3.45g/cm3, hardness 1 ~ 3 . It is opacity and brittle. It is very hard to dissolve in water, but it is soluble in sulfuric acid and sodium hydroxide solution. It is mainly be used for aluminum smelting and refractory .

(1) Refining aluminum industry.
