Bite Me, Inc. is an OMWBE and ACDBE certified minority, woman owned wholesale bakery located in Lakewood, Washington. Our mission is to be a good steward of the resources God has given us. We do this by creating cookies made with high quality natural ingredients and by empowering woman and immigrants through job stability and skill development.

Founder, Deborah Tuggle, started baking cookies for her classmates to help pay for her tuition in the late 1990s. She brought the cookies to school on Fridays and this soon became the highlight of her classmates' week. Her entrepreneurial spirit realized she was on to something and decided to make a business of it in 1999 with her first company, Friday's Cookies, named after the tradition she started in school.

Starting a cookie business on her own led Deborah to reach out for support from other cookie manufacturers. This is where she met the Cantwell sisters, the original owners of Bite Me, Inc. They became fast friends and when the sisters sold in 2004, they called Deborah to see if she would like to buy and she did. Over the last 14 years, Deborah has expanded Bite Me from a modest cookie company to a local leader.

Bite Me has built a solid reputation on their commitment to quality ingredients. They don't skimp on ingredients, ever, and keep it natural whenever possible. The cookies are handcrafted by artisan bakers and decorators with an attention to detail. Bite Me cookies are available in options for retail, wholesale and food service. Cookies are offered under the Bite Me! Cookies brand and private labeled.

1999 Deborah Tuggle opened Friday's Cookies (retail location)

2004 Deborah Tuggle, purchased Bite Me, Inc. from Casey Cantwell

2006 Bite Me, Inc. became the main brand focus and began wholesale only operations

2008 Bite Me, Inc. started a Private Label Program and began selling to retailers across the nation

2014 Gluten free cookies were made under the Seattle Shortbread name

2015 Moved physical location to larger facility to meet growing market demands

2016 Gained additional large accounts such as Safeway grocery stores

2018 Started Exporting
