This mode of new products is design for USB human interface type 1D/2D/QR barcode scanner can easy send data (number) to access control which have Wiegand 26 or Wiegand 34 bit interface to fnish an barcode access control system easy and low cost. The products had widely use for turnstile gate access control system and parking system, with this products, we can easy attached a USB scanner to access controller.


 


 


Product Description:


     USB2WG-H USB human interface device to Wiegand communication convector is designed for USB barcode scanner relative access control system and other solution such as USB RFID reader and USB magnetic reader to Wiegand application; we had widely used in all market of the world. The converter support USB to Wiegand single-way transmission, can transfer data from USB human interface device (such as USB barcode scanner) to Wiegand interface (such as access controller Wiegand input interface) as 26bit or Wiegand34bit format(other format for optional)it can output data as ASCII code (8digit or 10digit ASCII code default) and hex as optional. 


 


Note: the USB scanner should be human interface device type, i.e. it dont support vitual COM USB scanner, when you insert into the USB barcode scanner to a new computer, no need install any driver for the USB scanner, if there need some special driver for the new computer OS, so need check with us if we can support it or not.thanks!

Communication Format:
To transmit data from USB fuman interface device to Wiegand device input interface, support most popular USB barcode scanner (human interface type, no need driver for windows), USB RFID card reader, USB magnetic card reader, USB QR scanner, USB hand held reader, USB keyboard, and other USB fuman interface devices, etc. Please note that our converter cannot support all USB device especially USB virtual COM, and any other USB device when it working with Windows and must install USB driver, so before purchase our converter please check your USB device carefully. The simply and fast way to check out the compatibility is connect your USB device such as USB QR scanner to a new computer with pure Windows OS (never install other additional USB driver), if it the windows OS can easy find the USB device easy, so it is a USB fuman interface device, so it can working with this mode of USB to Wiegand converter.


 


Before testing communication of the device, please check the connection and make sure it is correct, connect USB interface via USB cable to USB fuman interface device, connect Wiegand interface to device have Wiegand input such as the Wiegand interface of access controller, usually D0 to D0, D1 to D1, GND to GND, +12V to power+12V (please check the user manual of USB fuman interface device and Wiegand device for get more details)


 


Most access controller support WG26bit or WG34bit, but some of them not support both, so in case there have other WG format, please try to check out exact bit format and response to our sales for make special upgrade for suit the application.


 


When the converter send data from USB to Wiegand and output Wiegand 34bit, it output max 32 digit data, that is to say 4 byte of hex 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF 0xFF (Decimal number 4,294,967,295), so our converter Wiegand 34bit output data range must in 0 to 4,294,967,295, total 10digit decimal number, and over this range there have mistake to show.



So when you order USB to Wiegand 34bit converter, if you send a number more than 4,294,967,295, converter shall output abnormal data.


 


When the converter output Wiegand 26bit, it support decimal number max: 255, 65525, so our converter Wiegand 26bit output data range must in 0 to 255,65535. For reference only: the formula based on Wiegand 26bit decimal number, the range of limited it is like: 3+5
3=0 to 255
5=0 to 65535
So when you order Wiegand 26bit to USB converter, you send a number from USB to Wiegand, cannot out of range (total 8 digit decimal number, first 3 digit max 255, last 5 digit max 65536).


Furthermore, when send data from USB terminal to Wiegand interface, converter only transfers numbers, and words shall be ignored, for example:
Computer send data: "123ABC456", converter transfer only: "123456"
"ABC123ABC456" converter transfer only: "123456"
"ABCDEFG123456789" converter transfer only: "123456789"
"//domain.com/ticket/ID&-abcdef12345678" converter transfer only: "12345678"
"A1B2C3D4E5F678G" converter transfer only "12345678"
