Dead Eye Thimble

Dead eye thimbles have higher strength and higher accuracy than them JIS thimbles have.

 

Specifications: The diameters of wire ropes used are from φ12 to φ50.

Use Applications: When high strength wire ropes are used, the strength of JIS thimbles is not good enough. We recommend the dead eye thimbles then.

Manufacturing process

	Flow						Description
1	Material						Confirmation of specified material (by material certificate reports, calipers, measures and so on)
2	Machining Process						Machine process is performed in accordance with the dimensions of the designated drawings.  (Surface roughness is confirmed with limit gauges and the designated dimensions are confirmed with various measuring tools.)
3	Dimensional Inspection						Dimension inspection of each part in accordance with the measurement of the designated drawings is conducted. (They are confirmed with Vernier calipers, height gauge and steel rules.)
4	Surface Treatment						Hot-dip Galvanizing
5	Final Inspection						Visual inspection is given. (The inspections of cracks, defects, distortion, surface roughness, rust are conducted.)
6	Packing & Shipment						The products are packed based on the packing specification by our customers’ request. (Cartons, pallets and wooden boxes are used.) The products are shipped by air or sea in accordance with our customers’ requests.
