 Myrcene is made by Β-pinene, generated from the thermal decomposition. Besides, it also

can be obtained through the linalool.Myrcene can be used as intermediate in the manufacturing

of perfume chemicals. It is highly valued as an intermediate for the preparation of flavor and

fragrance chemicals such as menthol, citral,citronellol,geraniol, linalool and so on. Myrcene is

also converted to Myrcenol.
