What is salt water / sea water ?

 

Seawater, or salt water, is water from a sea or ocean. On average, seawater in the world's oceans has a salinity of about 3.5% (35 g/L, 599 mM). This means that every kilogram (roughly one liter by volume) of seawater has approximately 35 grams of dissolved salts, predominantly sodium and chloride ions.

 

What is desalination ? What is SWRO

 Areas that have either no or limited surface water or groundwater may choose to desalinate. Reverse osmosis is an increasingly common method of desalination, because of its relatively low energy consumption.

In recent years, energy consumption has dropped to around 3 kWh/m3, with the development of more efficient energy recovery devices and improved membrane materials. Reverse osmosis was used in 66% of installed desalination capacity and nearly all new plants.

Sea water reverse osmosis (SWRO) desalination, a membrane process, has been commercially used since the early 1970s. Brackish water reverse osmosis refers to desalination of water with a lower salt content than sea water, usually from river estuaries or saline wells. The process is substantially the same as sea water reverse osmosis, but requires lower pressures and therefore less energy. Up to 80% of the feed water input can be recovered as fresh water, depending on feed salinity.

Depending on the sea water quantity & quality, generally the manufacturing period can be finished within min 8-10 weeks. After routine tests and quality inspection, it becomes ready for transportation.

  

 

What kind of tests are carried out for AKTIFPAK^®SWRO?

 

 

Besides the routine visual inspection test programs, hydrostatic tests for all tanks and pressure tests for filters/housings are carried out. After the commissioning at site, the effluent treated water is tested an accredited laboratory.

 

 

 

What are the certificates for AKTIFPAK^® SWRO?

 

 

There is not any material made in far east within AKTIFPAK^® SWRO. All components have CE and ISO certificates. It’s possible to declare certificate of origins for each equipment or for whole system. AAT has ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 certificates.

It’s also possible to exhibit a training program here in Istanbul, Turkey. Office trainings and factory trainings are included in this program. Certificate is submitted to attendants who successfully finished the training programs. Site trainings are performed together with AAT supervisors and plant operators.

 

Do AAT supervisors take place in erection & commissioning at site?

 

 

If requested, AAT supervisors can carry out all installation, erection, start-up and commissioning of AKTIFPAK^® SWRO at site. AAT supervisors are able to supervise at site within 72 hrs wherever you are.

 

 

What is the guarantee for AKTIFPAK^® SWRO?

 

All the components utilized in AKTIFPAK^® SWRO has a life of guarantee for 2 (two) years. Periodical service guarantee is free for the first year. Spare parts availability guarantee is 5 years. Process guarantee is a life time guarantee where the quality and quantity remains same.

 

 

Is it possible to manufacture containerized SWRO systems ?
