Natural Indigo powder (Indigofera tinctoria) is a natural hair dye that has been used for centuries for dyeing hair dark brown, black. More shades can be achieved by mixing with herbs like henna powder, cassia obovata, amla powder etc. Indigo plant grows one to two meter high with small green leaves and purple color flowers. The mature plants are cut off and allowed to dry in the open fields for three or four days. The leaves are collected, crushed and stored. The crushed leaves are pulverized to powder.

Ans : Henna is the dried leaf and term powder of the plant Lawsonia inermis, a small bush 3-4 feet tall, which can grow to 2-1/2 to 3 meters in height. This actually grows in hot climate like India, Sudan, Egypt etc. But Indian Henna is known as the best coloring henna in the world.
