We always stick to the same preparation routine because we know that it works. We ask that you only use professional installation if you choose to use metallic epoxy as if the preparation is done incorrectly, you can ruin the flooring.
We start by lifting all stains in your concrete slab and using our special material to fill all cracks. Lifting stains and repairing cracks are done to make the seamless surface and a form strong bond to the concrete.
After the material has dried and all stains have been lifted, we either shot blast the concrete or use diamond wheel grinding to profile and open the pores of the concrete.
Once profiled, we apply an epoxy primer that will further the bond that is formed between the resin and concrete slab
We now begin mixing and applying our base coat that is the color you wish your base to be with a squeegee
We now start mixing and applying the top color with metallic pigments and using the squeegee or sometimes trowels to make the effect that is desired
We now apply the top coat, which is a clear protectant barrier. Once this is applied we recommend that you stay off the flooring for at least 24 hours and 72 hours for vehicle traffic.
