100% WHEY DELUXE is a concentrate protein whose first filtration process in the production of whey protein is ultrafiltration: the milk protein is filtered through a porous membrane, a process where the protein is separated from the fat and the lactose. Whey concentrate is generally classified as the most basic of whey protein types, although in itself, the protein concentration can vary considerably, from 35-85%, so there is a huge difference in quality of the different WPC powders. This depends on the magnitude of the filtration. In Beverly Nutrition, our “Wheat Concentrate – WPC Instant” protein is offering 80% concentrate from Carbery, the company. This concentrate whey, although not the purest protein, when processed, can offer a very high quality protein powder, with the presence of some grams of fat and carbohydrates and will be perfectly suitable for professional athletes of medium/high level.

One of the benefits of Whey Protein Concentrate is that the lower treatment the process has, means that most of the “beneficial” whey protein fractions are still in good condition.
