This beautiful hand forged knife from the Germanic Iron Age, often also called Viking knife, is provided with an artfully twisted handle.
The blade was forged from a single piece of high carbon steel by hand and provides a nice rough forging surface.

The German knife is based on Germanic original finds of the Iron Age and is an ideal complement for the drapery in Germanic, Viking and Medieval re-enactment.

Often these knives are accosiated with the Viking time. This is historically incorrect, since this type of knife does not appear in the Viking period - they date about 1,000 years earlier.

The German knife comes with a leather sheath and is well sharpened.
