The relevant provisions of ECTN/BESC in Cameroon:
According to the Cameroonian State Act, all cargo shipped to the port of Adura in Cameroon must apply for Electronic Goods Tracking List ECTN (BESC). Failure to apply for such ECTN (BESC) will be regarded as a violation of the regulations of the State of Cameroon and will be automatically punished at the port of destination. For exporters, shippers must provide Cameroon ECTN/BESC (some shipping companies require it to be displayed on the bill of lading) before issuing original bills of lading, otherwise they cannot issue original bills of lading.

Processing documents required by ECTN in Cameroon:
1. Fill in the complete ECTN application form
2. Invoice of packing list for customs clearance at destination port (invoice should reflect FOB value, freight, insurance (if CIF clause) and trade clause)
3. Scanner of original bill of lading (if you need to assign ECTN number first, you can provide shipping company format bill of lading with accurate SHIPPED ON BOARD date first)
Cameroon ECTN process:
1. Send the application documents to our company according to the above requirements.
2. After receipt of your application documents, our company will calculate the cost of ECTN according to the information provided by your company. After confirming the payment method with your company, we will issue the details of the fees according to the payment method to arrange payment to your company. Payment will be completed and payment receipt will be provided so as to facilitate financial collection.

4. Upon receipt of the original bill of lading, our company will upload the original bill of lading and submit it it to the final examination and approval authority of the destination port. 6. After the approval of ECTN, the original ECTN certificate will be sent to your company by mail and forwarded to the consignee for customs clearance at the destination port. ECTN is an electronic cargo tracking list. The original document is an electronic version in PDF format. There is no paper certificate.
