It is found in such plants as Fibraurea Recisa Pierre, Berberis (e.g. Berberisaquifolium (Oregon grape), Berberis vulgaris (Barberry), and Berberisaristata (Tree Turmeric)), Hydrastiscanadensis (Goldenseal), PHcllodendronamurense and Coptischinensis (Chinese Goldthread, Huang-Lian, Huang-Lien), and Tinosporacordifolia.
