Low price moly molybdenum rod molybdenum electrode for glass melting
Molybdenum is the most frequently used electrode material to deliver electricity into the glass melts, such as daily glass, optical glass, thermal insulation material, glass fiber, etc.
Molybdenum is the most common electrode material because the advantages of molybdenum in high-temperature applications are well known. But the known drawbacks of molybdenum, especially poor oxidation resistance and particularly low resistance to some severely corrosive glass melts highly limit the field of applications for glass melting electrodes. Multiphase Mo-based systems have attracted the attention of refractory experts and metallurgists because there are a number of equilibrium ternary phases in the Mo-Si-B system offering favorable oxidation resistance at high temperatures. Anti-oxidation coatings made of the Mo-based system are also available in Honglu. They can be applied either by thermal spraying or by chemically reacting with the electrode surface to manufacture the anti-oxidation coating.
