The example of a medium-sized heat storage tank (35m3, 10 tons) is calculated:
Heat storage capacity of 1MWh large-scale heat storage tank (35m3, 10 tons of ice)
Ice storage heat = 320kj/kg. Microcapsule heat storage = 200kj/kg*0.8 (actual volume) = 160kj/kg
Traditional ice heat storage tank
Where 35 tons of water can produce 10 tons of ice (the ice making rate is about 30%):
10*103kg*320kj/kg=320GJ (heat storage)
Ice + phase change microcapsule heat storage tank
In order to achieve the above-mentioned ice heat storage capacity (320GJ), 12 tons of phase change microcapsules are solidified (6 ° C), and then 4 tons of water is frozen (-19 ° C). Under these conditions, the heat storage of the two is:
Ice: 4*103kg*320kj/kg=128GJ
Phase change microcapsule: 12*103kg*160kj/kg=1.92GJ
Compared with the original ice storage method, the power consumption ratio is: (1.28 + 1.92 * 1/2) / 3.2 = 0.7, that is, energy saving 30%.
