Appearance and properties: White moisture absorption crystalline powder or colorless, glossy, diamond shaped crystal. Almost odorless, sweet and bitter. Soluble in water and chloroform. Difficult to dissolve in carbon tetrachloride, acetone, benzene and ethyl ether, insoluble in petroleum ether.
Application:
(1). hexamine can be used as a resin and plastic curing agent, rubber vulcanization accelerator, textile antishrinking agent and used fungicides;
(2). hexamine can be used as a plastic resin and a curing agent, rubber vulcanization accelerator (accelerator h), textile antishrinking agent, and is used of fungicides.
(3). in medicinal industry, hexamine can be used and medicine in case of acidic urine decomposition of formaldehyde and bactericidal effect for mild urinary tract infection; external use in treating tinea, antiperspirant, treatment of axillary osmidrosis.
(4). hexamine mixed with caustic soda and sodium phenolate, it can be used for gas masks as phosgene absorber.
(5). hexamine can be used as a textile shrink proof finishing agent, surfactant sodium chlorite bleaching agent, waterproof buffer of CR.
