Ceramic microfiltration membrane element is made from alumina and zirconia which is an asymmetric membrane structure with multi-channel tubular shape. The pore is on the channel. Driven by operation pressure, the liquid is running in the membrane. The part less than pore size is permeation, the part lager than pore size is concentrated liquid, so as to achieve the separation, concentration and purification purposes.

Skid-mounted device (Ceramic Membrane Filtration System) effectively allocates and stores machine for process and modular systems in the field of solid-liquid separation. A CMF skid-mounted device is designed by order and fully optimized as process flow, which includes CMF unit, power part, control part and supporting pipelines, valves and instruments. The device can be designed as a containerized device.
Housing is designed with standard connectors (flange, clamp, whorl coping) to attach with incoming and outgoing piping. This includes a manifold, which directs incoming flow to all ceramic membrane elements in the housing. The housings are produced from different types of stainless steel, coated steel or plastic, titanium, as required by the application. The sealing material holds elements in the weakest place in housings. A wide array of materials (EPDM, Fluoro rubber, silicon) is available by customer's needs.

During filtration by means of ceramic membrane made by JIUWU the medium to be filtered flows through the channels of the membrane carrier. All particles whose size exceeds the pore radius of the membrane are retained. The particles /molecules build up in the concentrate. The filtrate permeates through the pores and depending on the procedure is subjected to subsequent process stages. This filtering method is also called "cross-flow filtration" or "dynamic filtration" . Cross-flow management can achieve stable fluxes. Cleaning is performed by means of backward flushing or chemical cleaning.
Membrane fouling is a major obstacle to wide spread application of the membrane. It is the phenomenon whereby the membrane permeated flux decreases and the transmembrane pressure (TMP) rise with the passage of time due to the membrane fouling. To solve the problem, cleaning step is must be took, or the membrane after using can be exchanged.
