Bi-stable rotary solenoid (also called bi-stable rotation angle motor) in performance covers the main function of rotating solenoid and bi-stable self holding solenoid. Due to the high performance permanent magnet and the grain orientation high silicon steel as main material of magnetic circuit, the coil winding adopts pass through winding type, make the main characteristic of the electromagnet parameter "number of ampere turns" and "magnetic power" in the best condition, when the coil is electrified, the shaft core can immediately produce rotation displacement, after power off, in the effect of magnetic field of permanent magnet, can keep the shaft core at the position of after electric displacement without the need for power input. Rotation and reset is drived by the forward and reverse pulse power supply.

Bi-stable rotary solenoid can make the shaft core remain at the beginning and the end of the stroke in two different positions, and two different positions with the equal output torque (with bi-stable characteristics). So compared with similar size rotating solenoid, with large rotation angle (action angle can reach 100°), bidirectional rotation (left and right, can be), fast response time, electricity saving, small temperature rise, big power and other significant characteristics.
