Step 1

Start with a black base coat. Rip small pieces of the gold leaf, enough to fit about four to five on each nail.

Step  2

Lightly press a few pieces of the gold leaf onto each nail. (If it's not sticking well, try dabbing a bit of top coat underneath it first.) Press it down with your finger. Cover the entire ring finger with the gold leaf (try doing it in one piece, but if it breaks you can press more gold leaf on top of the cracks). Give all your nails a layer of top coat, painting gently so you don't swipe off the gold leaf with the brush!
