1. Overview

ASTM E119 Laboratory Vertical Fire Resistance Test Furnace Of Building Construction and Materials consists of fire test furnace, control cabinet, gas system, purification system, sample test stand, gas flow measurement system, temperature measurement system and pressure measurement and control system


2. Application


Applicable to sheet metal structural parts, the fire resistance characteristics are determined under standard fire conditions. The device can be used to determine the fire resistance characteristics of the frame door, non-frame door, rolling shutter door, the fireproof glass and the like under standard fire conditions.


The test methods described in this fire-test-response standard are applicable to assemblies of masonry units and to composite assemblies of structural materials for buildings, including loadbearing and other walls and partitions, columns, girders, beams, slabs, and composite slab and beam assemblies for floors and roofs. They are also applicable to other assemblies and structural units that constitute permanent integral parts of a finished building.


 It adopts WINDOWS 10 operation interface and LabView, a global precision equipment development software. The interface style is fresh, beautiful and simple. During the test, the measurement results are displayed in real time and the perfect curve is dynamically drawn. The data can be saved, read and printed permanently, and the report can be printed directly. It has high intelligence, guided menu operation, simple and intuitive features, and makes the test results more accurate. It is suitable for the fire resistance test of load-bearing vertical partition members and non-load-bearing vertical partition members.

3. Standard

(1) ISO 834-1-1999《Fire-Resistance Tests - Elements of Building Construction - Part 1: General Requirements Corrigenda, Amendments and other parts》.


(2) In accordance with GB/T9978.3-2008 and ISO 834-3:1994 "Test methods for fire resistance of building components, Part 3: Test methods and test data application notes" test standards;

(3) Comply with GB/T9978.4-2008 and ISO 834-4:2000 "Test methods for fire resistance of building components, Part 4: Particular requirements for load-bearing vertical partition members".

(4) In line with GB/T 9978.8-2008 and ISO 834-8: 2000 "Building component fire test method, Part 8: special requirements for non-load bearing vertical partition members" and GB/T 7633-2008 "door and roller blind fire test method" standard test requirements, its design is based on the lack of domestic and foreign instruments, and often maintain technical exchanges with the Sichuan Fire Research Institute of the Ministry of Public Security and other company on-site operators, so that products are continuously improved and improved. Fire resistant building materials need to have fire-resistant performance in actual use, not only fire-retardant performance. The method is based on the duration of the fire resistance, from 20 minutes to 3 hours. The evaluation indexes include whether the back fire surface of the product is open fire, whether the surface temperature rises, whether there is smoke leakage, and whether it is resistant to the impact of high-pressure fire water gun.
Reference value point of combustion curve (furnace temperature and temperature duration):

1300°F (704°C) at 10 min
1550°F (843°C) at 30 min
1700°F (927°C) at 1 h
1850°F (1010°C) at 2 h
2000°F (1093°C) at 4 h
