1. Overview

Rock wool thermal insulation heat load test apparatus adopts touch screen technology, which is easy to operate and easy to learn, and meets the design requirements of GB/T 11835. The working principle of the device is to heat the sample at a certain heating rate under a fixed load to achieve a specified thickness shrinkage rate, and calculate the heat load shrinkage temperature by interpolation.

3. Test instructions

Test principle
Under the action of fixed load, the specimen is heated at a certain heating rate to reach the specified thickness shrinkage.
Through calculation, the hot load shrinkage temperature is obtained by interpolation method.

Test equipment
The hot load test device is composed of heating furnace, heating vessel and thermocouple, as shown in Fig. 7.

Sample
(1) The density of rock wool and slag cotton is 150 kg/m3, and that of glass wool is 64 kg/m3.
(2) For rock wool, slag wool and glass wool products, samples of actual density shall be taken.
(3) The samples of rock wool, slag wool and glass wool can be made from plates with the same density as the shell.
(4) For products with veneer, the veneer material shall be removed.
(5) The specimen is a cylinder with a diameter of 47mm-50mm and a thickness of 50mm-80mm.

Test procedures
(1) Put the sample into the heating container, add load plate and load bar to make the pressure of 490pa on the sample.

(2) Check the position of the hot end of the thermocouple so that it is located in the center of the heating vessel in the
vertical direction and 20 mm away from the outer surface of the heating vessel in the horizontal direction, and record the initial values of the furnace temperature and sample thickness.

(3) At the beginning of heating, the heating rate is 5 ℃/min. the temperature in the furnace and the height of the top of the load bar are measured every 10 minutes. When the temperature rises to about 200 ℃ lower than the predetermined hot load shrinkage temperature. The heating rate is 3 ℃/min, and the measurement is conducted every 3 min until the thickness shrinkage of the sample exceeds 10%. Stop heating and record whether there is smoke, color change and smell.
