High-purity Tellurium Production Line
1.Brief Introduction
The substance of the tellurium electrodeposition is using the different deposition potential of all kinds of metal to separate the impurity. Fill in the purified Sodium tellurite liquid to the electrolytic cell and also fill in the stainless steel anode/cathode plate, under the DC effect, the cathode separates out the tellurium and OH- in the anode plate discharging that separates the oxygen. The electrolysis main control the impurities Pb, Se leaching-out in the cathode plate, when the tellurium density is lower whereas the electric current density is higher, the deposition potential of Pb, Se is close to the tellurium, Pb, Se is separated from the cathode plate. It is necessary to deep removal Pb, Se before electrolysis. Tellurium is separated out by the electrolysis, that result in high alkali concentration, when the anode is supersaturated and separated out, the covering surface making the voltage rise in the tank, which results in the impurities separated out. The 1st electrolysis can obtain the electro-tellurium quality about 99.998%(4N)

Vacuum distillation technology is using the different vaporization and condensing characteristics of different metal to achieve the metal purification and each alloy components separation. This is no pollution or less pollution to the environment during the whole process, short technologic process and high metal recovery rate, small land occupation, less consumption and good benefits. The vapor pressure of Tellurium is high, by using the vapor pressure difference between other impurities, make use of the vacuum distillation----segmented condensation to obtain the high purity Tellurium, the used raw material is electro-Tellurium or metallic Tellurium of Carbon reduction, generally, can get 5N metallic Tellurium product.

Due to the poor effective of distillation purification to Se,S2, If want to continuous obtain more high-purity metallic Tellurium, that need melting the metallic Tellurium, keep temperature 480~520 ℃, with hydrogen, maintain 4~8h, Se containing Tellurium can reduce to 1×10-6%, hydrogenation reaction also have similar effective to the desulfuration, the sulphur can reduce to 1×10-5%, H2Se is able to decomposition under the high temperature, not good for the deeply selenium off, the tail gas is absorbed and discharged by the alkali liquid. By adopting the distillation-hydrogenation selenium off technology, can purify the 4N Tellurium to 6N.
