VCI powder,SF/D-331 is watersoluble, spayable volatile corrosion inhibiting powder designed for the corrosion protection of self-seal system (e.g. tubular structure and pipes) and metals in the enclosed space. SF/D-331 provides excellent volatility, migratory and absorbable performances, and forms a molecular protective layer on the metal surface, which can effectively protect metal against corrosion.

Physical and chemical properties

Appearance: white crystalline powder

PH: 6.5-7.5 (1%  aqueous solution)

Solubility: 1g/2ml water(+25^oC)

Method of application

apply SF/-331 in dry form by spraying easily achieved to pipe or vessel, closed after application. by using air pressure, air hose or sandblast, large conventional sandblasting system or hand blast can also be used. For powder application, with average environmental condition, use 100g/m2, the dosage can be increased for more severe condition.

In wet form, apply water presser testing soluble and then remove water solution and close vessel after application. Also can dilute  solution to spraying, printing and dipping, and then seal packing. at the ambient temperature water solution ratio 1:0.5%, the dosage can be increased for more severe condition. To increase the metal surface wetness, to apply SF/TD-101 1.0% is recommended,

the dosage is 1.0% weight of SF/D-331 powder.

To move powder residues easily by air presser and water,

To move liquid form, no cleaning required, if necessary, simply rinsing or spraying with water.

Storage: keeping indoor or shelter dry place, away from sun shine below 65 degree temperature For 12 months.

 

Note: effective to copper and its alloy, galvanized steel, tinned plate, printed plate, can also for metal contained with iron, aluminum and its alloy, it is not effective to non-ferrous and coated metal unless it pass testing
