Carbon steel balls are made from a combination of steel and carbon, with carbon present in concentrations lower than 0.093%. The carbon acts as a hardening agent, providing additional strength, at a lower cost than alternative hardening techniques.
Our carbon steel balls come in two varieties: low unhardened carbon steel balls and low hardened carbon steel balls. Each variety has its own properties.

The wear-resisting and hardness is not good than bearing steel ball(the HRC of GCR15 steel ball is 60-66); so the life is shorter relatively .

Producting line

Cold heading

 In the first step, heading machines cut wire into short lengths and form it into spherical shapes between dies.

Grinding

Slow, meticulous grinding assures proper sizing and sphericity, with tolerances as closeas ±0.0001

Heat treatment

Carbon steel balls are next carburized and hardened. Heat treatment imparts the desired hardness and case depth.

Polishing ,cleaning

Several proprietary lapping processes can bring balls to the requirements of ISO 3290 Grade10 - 48.
