Narrowband filter comes from the bandpass filter in the subdivision, its definition and band-pass filter is the same. This kind of filter in a particular band to let light signal through and departed from outside the band on both sides of the light signal is blocked. The narrowband filter passband is relatively narrow, usually at the center wavelength value of less than 5%.
