For repair or retrofit works.

1. No reduction of the cross section area of the rebar, and the raw material is Q345B+, so tensile strength could be ≥650MPa.
2. It's a simple and proven method to splice that didn't need the rebar end prepared, such as the situation where threading of the rebar is not possible or the bars are already installed.

3. The coupler is swaged onto the rebar ends by hydraulic crimping machine, and it's butt-to-butt splices that are suitable to both tension and compression applications, and esp. suitable for repair and retrofit works.
4. The most important is that this type of coupler has a very good seismic effect so that more particularly suitable for tunnels and bridges than other types coupler.

Installation

Coupler Connection Process

1. Slide the coupler over the 1st rebar until it's helf way inside the coupler.
2. Press/swage the coupler around the first bar using hydraulic pressing machine HLY-32 or HLY-40.
3. Slide the 2nd rebar in to the other end of the coupler and then press/swage the coupler arround the 2nd bar.
