Bee Medicine Fluvalinate strip is packaged as chemical-impregnated strips that look kind of like bookmarks. Hang the plastic strips in the brood chamber between frames. You’re positioning the strips close to the brood so the bees naturally come into contact with the miticide they contain. The bees will brush up against each other and transfer the fluvalinate throughout the hive.

Method of application:

1. Open package, suspend 1/4 strips between the frames for standard 10 frames colony, apply four times as a treatment, interval seven days.

2. Lay 1/4 strip on the frame, repeat after seven days, repeat again after another seven days.

3. Insert 1/4 strip into hive 10m away from door.

Treatment time:

u  Can be used at any time of year, after fall, early spring, after honey flow are the best times to treat the varroa mites. The strips are not to be used during honey flow.

u  Treated on a sunny morning before 12 clock, be cautious when under 15℃, forbid-used when cloudy and rainy day.

Caution:

u  Do not leave the strips in the hive for more than 8 weeks.

u  Wear gloves when handling strips. Avoid contact with skin, mouth and eyes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after handling strips.Do not smoke, drink or eat during application.

u  Store away from foodstuffs. Keep out of reach of children.

u  Do not store strips near pesticides or other chemical substances.

u  Use strips for one treatment only; do not re-use strips.

u  Dispose of used strips safely.
